1973 Catalogue - Spice O' Life Corning Ware
The following two page spread illustrates the newest pattern, Spice O' Life, as well as the newly updated shape of Corning Ware. It is believed that it was actually late 1972 when these products first appeared on retail shelves, but 1973 would be the first time they were featured in the annual catalogue. The artists who created the Spice O' Life decoration are Alice Kiernan, Patricia Luzier & Gregory Mirow.

The text highlights the improvements made for all Corning Ware casseroles. Major differences include: flatter bottoms, straight sides, and larger handles on both the dish and the lid.
The familiar vegetable design, which truly defines Spice O' Life, doesn't appear on the coffee pots and teapots. Instead this decoration depicts flowers, nuts and berries. It is the inclusion of sprigs of herbs which ties it to the motif found on the casseroles.
