Welcome to Corelle Corner!

Corelle has been a familiar sight in kitchens since 1970.  Lightweight, affordable and with unprecedented durability, it was selling as fast as they could make it in the early years.  When it was introduced, there had never before been a single dominating brand in the dinnerware market.  At the price point in which Corelle was competing, the other choices were mainly limited to earthenware and plastics.  Neither of these completely fulfilled consumer’s expectations with respect to durability, attractiveness, and versatility of use.  With all of Corelle’s benefits, plus a two year guarantee, it quickly became a best-seller with sales figures in the millions within months.  For total co-ordination on the tabletop, the Pyrex Compatibles were launched in 1972 as an accompaniment to the Corelle patterns.

Corelle is now on its way to becoming a popular collectible alongside the more established Pyrex and Corning Ware products.  Iconic patterns like Butterfly Gold and innovative styling like hook-handle cups have captured the interest of a generation of collectors who fondly remember the Corelle their mother used.  There is also an abundance of collectible accessories available made of Pyrex and Corning Ware, as well as items from other manufacturers like Gemco.
