The Livingware 2 product line was introduced in 1983 with a Pyrex cup that was unique in style and composition.  It is certainly opal Pyrex, but the glass is more opaque and whiter than usual, possibly even a brighter white than Corelle itself.  For the patterns still available in 1986, this cup style was dropped in favour of Suprema mugs.  However, it was included in the 1986 version of Holly Days.  Opal Pyrex ceased production soon after.

Backstamp of Livingware 2 extra-white cupThese cups usually have the Corning brand on them, but they are Pyrex and have the ‘No Stovetop or Broiler’ warning in embossed lettering on the bottom.  Like regular opal Pyrex, this extra-white version is also safe for the microwave.

The backstamp reads ‘Corning…Corning NY USA…Microwave Safe…No Stovetop or Broiler’.  It is not known if any cups of this type have the Pyrex brand name.
