The Expressions product line was introduced in 1977 and discontinued in 1986. These new multi-coloured patterns came with a new cup style made of Centura. This time the cups were marked ‘No Microwave’, and there are 2 possible backstamps. The older stamp is produced in black or green ink and says: ‘Corelle by Corning…Corning NY USA…Baking Only, No Microwave’. The newer stamp in embossed letters says ‘Corning…No Microwave’. But they are both made of Centura.
Although the backstamp does not mention it, this shape does have a model number: 2319.
Creamers & Sugar Bowls:
Cream & sugar sets for the Expressions line are also made of Centura. The sugar bowl is shorter and wider with a white plastic lid. This lid is the same style as that of the large Pyrex sugar bowl, but it is a different kind of plastic; it is opaque rather than translucent. The original care instructions indicate not to use abrasive cleansers on the spout of the creamer as it has been treated with a coating "for better pouring characteristics".
Available Patterns: April, Blue Heather, Indian Summer, Meadow, Wildflower, Batik, Strawberry Sunday, Forget-Me-Not, Desert Blossom, Windsor Rose, Misty Morning.
