Pattern Profile: English Ivy, Melody, Quintet (1986)
English Ivy, Melody & Quintet were launched early 1986 as part of the Livingware line. English Ivy is sage green, Melody is brown, and Quintet is slate blue. Bowls and oval platters are decorated on the rim with a single coloured band.
English Ivy & Quintet were offered only in large 32-piece sets while Melody appeared in a 16-piece set. Luncheon plates, dessert bowls, serving bowls and oval platters might not exist for English Ivy & Quintet.
Melody: dinner plate, side plate, flared Suprema mug.
Melody was discontinued sometime between 1987 and 1992, but an exact ending date is not known. English Ivy & Quintet were dropped late 1986 or early 1987.
At the time these patterns were launched, the Livingware line included the grouping of one-colour patterns which had been known as the Sunrise Collection previously. The re-naming of the product line coincides with the elimination of opal Pyrex cups and accessories and the adoption of flared mugs made of Suprema glass-ceramic.
