Pattern Profile:
Chestnut, Indigo, Dusk (1986); Allegro,
Meadow Green (199?)

Launched within the Livingware line in 1986, Chestnut, Indigo & Dusk are derivatives of the Dimension IV patternsChestnut is the coupe version of Cinnamon, Indigo is the coupe version of Slate, and Dusk is the coupe version of Onyx.  Dusk was offered only as a large 32-piece set while Chestnut & Indigo appeared in 16-piece sets.

Although they seem nearly identical to Dimension IV in terms of decoration, these newer patterns are distinguishable primarily by their plate style.  Sets included Suprema glass-ceramic mugs which are the same flared shape as Dimension IV's Pyrex mugs, but they are striped rather than solid-coloured.  Another distinction is the number of coloured bands on the bowls, with dessert bowls & soup/cereal bowls having only a single coloured band this time.

Dusk was discontinued late 1986 or early 1987.  Exact ending dates are not known for Chestnut or Indigo, but both disappeared sometime between 1987 & 1992.

Meadow Green & Allegro:
Another variation on thick and thin coloured bands, Meadow Green and Allegro also seem related to Dimension IV, but like Chestnut, Indigo and Dusk, they are newer and use a coupe plate style.  Meadow Green consists of two dark green bands on a beige background.

Allegro's bands are both dark blue and it has a white background.  This is the main distinction between Indigo and Allegro, Indigo has a thin grey band and Allegro has no grey at all.  Additionally, Allegro's blue bands are darker than Indigo's shade of blue.

It is certain that Allegro and Meadow Green were available during 1995, but their launch date is unknown, sometime between 1993 & 1995.  Dessert bowls, luncheon plates, serving bowls and platters might not exist.  Soup/cereal bowls in both patterns are decorated with two bands, matching the plates exactly.

The final year for both patterns might have been 1995.  During 2008 Allegro was re-introduced in 16-piece sets.  Since Suprema mugs were no longer made, new sets included an 11 oz solid-coloured stoneware mug in dark blue.
