Pattern Profile: Harvest Home (1981)

Harvest Home is a multi-coloured design depicting wheat, berries and blossoms, introduced in 1981 as one of four patterns in the new Traditions Livingware line.  The bowls, saucers and oval platters are decorated on the rim with only a single rust-brown band.  These banded pieces also match Indian Summer, Oriental Wood and Ginger, since it is the same shade of brown.  The patterns in the Traditions line were the first to come with opal Pyrex round bottom cups and large cream & sugar sets.

Traditions was relatively short-lived and all patterns, including Harvest Home, were discontinued at the end of 1983.  This pattern was designed by artist Donna Miska.

The lifespan of this pattern is contemporary with Autumn Harvest Tabletop Ware, which bears a comparable rust-coloured wheat design.  While they are neither official nor exact matches for each other, the similarities between the two patterns are reasonably apparent.

Others:

One known manufacturer has produced their own version of Harvest Home.  Termo-Rey opal glass dinnerware by Brasividro is an unofficial product and close comparison with the genuine Corelle pattern will reveal variations in the design.  So far, no glassware has surfaced which would match Harvest Home.
