Cutler Brands Ltd. of Toronto marketed clear salt & pepper shakers which look remarkably like Pyrex ones, but it is easy to see the difference with a comparison.

New information concerns a list of patterns discontinued in 1997, but introduction dates for most of these are still not known for certain. Numerous patterns were dropped in January of that year, and a few more ended in March or June.

A floral Corning Ware pattern from 1984 has been difficult to identify, but its name has been found at last and it is the subject of a Profile: Autumn Meadow.
There is a date correction for Dimension IV, specifically the first three patterns. New information shows they are from late 1979, not 1980.

The designers of many more patterns have been identified, and the list by artist's name has been updated. Most notable are the first four Livingware patterns, plus some Centura, Corning Ware and Pyrex patterns from the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Morning Light, the twin of Sea and Sand, is no longer a mystery. It is from 1988 or 1989, and was part of the Occasions line.

All those cups and mugs marked 'Corning' are often not Corning Ware at all. Suprema is a glass-ceramic that gets very little recognition since its brand name is never stamped on its products. Comparing Suprema with Corning Ware shows just how different it is.

In the Chrome Top Guide there is a second Gemco article detailing which tops belong on which bottoms. It is easy to mix them up when the same glass base has multiple uses.

Shenandoah deserves mentioning as the Pyrex pattern that took the place of Butterfly Gold and Spring Blossom Green in 1982. In terms of design, it bears a striking similarity to Wildflower. It is pictured in the 1982 catalogue also.

It has been discovered that Gemco's own pattern name for their Meadow version is 'Spring'.
There is a new section at left named 'Patterns By Piece'. These articles will be straightforward lists of patterns made for certain pieces. Primarily, the lists will be compiled for the more distinctive Corelle items plus certain cups which happen to have a very long pattern list, like Suprema Mugs.

The Dimension IV article has been split into two. This better illustrates how the original Dimension IV patterns and the newer coupe versions are distinct from one another in three identifiable ways. Plates, mugs and bowls definitely belong to either one or the other, and only a few serving pieces are shared by both versions.

On the topic of Spring Blossom Green Refrigerator Dishes, a very helpful catalogue photo from 1976 has been discovered. It is now clear that the Original version was last seen in 1976, and the New version was available only in 1977 & 1978.

Compare amber Fireside Pyrex & Visions. Although these two kinds of glass look almost identical on the surface, it is essential to understand that they are not the same formulation, and they are not interchangeable.

Wear & Tear has been updated with information about 'cavitation erosion'. This kind of damage can happen to cups (or bowls) that are used frequently to bring water to the boil in the microwave. Although the cups are both heat-resistant and microwave-safe, it is the action of the boiling water that permanently destroys the interior surface of the cup.
A new kind of boxed set has was offered in Homestead, and it is confirmed that the Brown version did have a complete 4-piece set of Cinderella bowls.

A new article compares the two different patterns that are found on Spring Blossom Green Refrigerator Dishes.
The Dimension IV product line has been added to Pattern Profiles. Dimension IV includes: Citrus, Cinnamon, Almond, Slate, Heather, Cobalt and Onyx. Also mentioned are some related patterns: Chestnut, Indigo, Meadow Green and Allegro.
Another Cup Style, Pyrex round-bottom, is available.

More end date information has been found for Pyrex in Butterfly Gold, Spring Blossom Green, Woodland, Autumn Harvest, Tabletop Ware and Refrigerator Dishes.

Other updates recently have been the addition of pictures to the Gemco Ware article, and Autumn Harvest is added to Pyrex Pattern Profiles.
An introduction to Cup Styles is a recent addition, and there will be more specific articles in that area very soon.

So far, everything! Welcome to this brand new site about Corelle, and I hope there is something here that interests you. I invite you to have a look in all the corners, and in particular have a look at this article, About, as a sort of orientation. It explains what I'm doing here.
We are in the midst of a bumpy start-up phase right now, and there are plenty of photos, sections and articles planned, but they are not all plugged in yet. Potentially every week, there may be new updates, so check in as often as you like.
When all the bumps are smoothed out, the main purpose of 'What's New' is to keep track of major updates and new articles. It's just a convenient place to provide a quick check for new content.
