Straight-Sided Mugs: Comparing Suprema & Stoneware

First of Spring: Suprema left, stoneware right.
Both are patterned with First of Spring.  The mug on the left is made of Suprema, on the right is stoneware.

Stoneware mugs in this style actually pre-date the Suprema version, and were originally designed for the Natural Images line in solid beige with a coloured band at the rim.  They also were made in at least five solid colours to co-ordinate with Sandstone based Livingware patterns, and there are five known examples decorated with a pattern as well.  The Suprema version exists in over 20 patterns, including beige and white backgrounds.

Comparing Suprema to stoneware, the difference between the handles is quite noticeable, but the rest of the mug is substantially the same.  The stoneware mug has an elevated foot, giving it a boost in height over the Suprema version.  Although it seems larger, the stoneware mug holds 9 oz, while the Suprema mug holds 10 oz.
