The Centura Promise

The text above is taken from a 1972 catalogue. It shows the use of the Pyroceram brand name with respect to Centura. The word Pyroceram was a general term applied to Corning's glass-ceramics regardless of their exact composition.
Centura's warranty against breakage covered 3 years and the continuity promise was good for 5 years. Corelle had similar guarantees with a time span of 2 years. The matching Corning Ware, which was identifiable by the 'glowing flame' symbol, appears to have had a lifetime warranty against failure by thermal shock.
